Sangnam Institute of Management,
a premier executive education institution dedicated to cultivating business leaders,
has completed a full renovation of the Lilac Lounge on the 2nd floor during the winter break of 2025–2026.
Previously operated as a relaxation and dedicated study space for participants,
the lounge has been redesigned to provide a more comfortable and convenient environment
for learners across various programs, including advanced executive courses, as well as corporate executives
whose demand for such spaces continues to grow.
The renovation aims to support both relaxation and networking, whether in large or small groups.

Dean Park Sebeom named the newly renovated space “Hwadam Lounge,”
drawing from the pen name “Hwadam (ûúÓÈ),” meaning “harmonious conversation,”
of the late LG Chairman Koo Bon-moo.
The name reflects a tribute to the noble vision of talent development demonstrated
by the late Chairmen Koo Ja-kyung and Koo Bon-moo,
while also offering a space where visitors can appreciate the history of the institute at a glance.
In addition, a newly installed “Wall of Fame” presents the institute’s journey
—from its founding and growth to its future vision—along with an overview of its educational programs.
To support participants balancing professional work and academic pursuits,
the lounge now features individual tables equipped for laptop and digital device use,
as well as group tables suitable for meetings.
A beverage station offering coffee and tea has also been redesigned
with improved layout and sufficient space to accommodate multiple users simultaneously.

Both participants and faculty members have expressed satisfaction and appreciation
for the upgraded Hwadam Lounge.
Sangnam Institute of Management Development will continue to strive
to provide immersive learning experiences through world-class educational programs
and high-quality facilities befitting Korea’s leading executive education institution.
